DRINKING PROPERLY – FROM BIRTH ON

During the first four months of its life, your baby will normally get enough liquids in breastmilk or the bottle. Only if it is very hot, if your baby has a temperature, diarrhoea or vomiting will you need to compensate for loss of fluid.

As soon as you introduce solids, your child will need something additional to drink to make sure its stool isn’t too firm. If your baby is on mixed feeding, you should get them used to drinking additional liquids. As a thirst quencher we recommend the Baby Water from Humana as well as our teas and juices.

Please note:

  • So that your baby isn’t already full before eating, make sure you always give liquids with the meal or afterwards.

  • Don’t leave your child constantly sucking on a bottle as this may cause caries! It should satisfy its thirst quickly and you should hold the bottle.

  • Make sure your child gets used to drinking from a cup as early as possible.
