PREPARATION

• Shake pack well before use.
• Push up the tab and cut the corner off.
• Pour the required amount for the drink (see quantity) into a clean bottle.
• Heat bottle in a bain marie (not in the microwave) and check that the formula has the right drinking temperature before use.
• Do not use any formula leftover in the bottle.

The amounts of drink depend on the condition of your child and are therefore to be specified individually – according to the doctor’s instructions.

As a result of the particular need for nutrients in the case of diarrhoea, the concentration of mineral substances is different to the maximum and minimum quantities in accordance with appendix 6 of the German dietary regulations.

Please use Humana Baby Rice only under medical supervision.
Is a dietary food for special medical purposes (as a supplement for a balanced diet), suitable for treating infant dyspepsia (diarrhoea in infants, only as part of medical treatment). Humana Baby Rice is used to offset loss of fluids in the first 6–12 hours on the first day of diarrhoea for infants, children and adults (oral rehydration therapy). Any incidence of diarrhoea may be an indication of a serious illness. If it lasts longer and/or the general condition deteriorates the doctor should be consulted without delay.
In particular in the case of infants and toddlers diarrhoea, especially when accompanied by uncontrollable vomiting, may lead rapidly to symptoms of a severe illness (reduced state of consciousness, shock). A doctor should therefore be consulted in any case of diarrhoea in infants and toddlers in order to treat it.
Humana Baby Rice contains carbohydrates, which, in frequent and constant contact with teeth, may cause damage to the teeth from caries and thus result in secondary damage.


Contraindications:

Humana Baby Rice must not be used in case of kidney insufficiency, metabolic alkalosis, uncontrollable vomiting, a reduced state of consciousness or shock with severe dehydration and impaired carbohydrate resorption (monosaccharide malabsorption). Do not use parenteral administration.
